KENDAL have arranged to play their Story Construction Cumbria Cup match away to Workington on Saturday, which is designated as a blank date as far as league fixtures are concerned.
The clubs agreed to play the tie after clubs involved in the cup had been given until April 6 to fit in the second-round matches.
Five ties went beyond the January 31 cut-off date and the compet-itions committee has now extended that deadline.
Competitions secretary Geoff Jackson said: "We are hoping that the lighter nights will allow clubs to play in midweek or some might prefer to play on a Sunday."
Only three clubs have reached the quarter-final stage because of the bad weather in the county.
Netherhall defeated Cockermouth when the two got together in the blank fortnight over Christmas and the New Year.
Then St. Benedict's progressed after they agreed to play a double header with Carlisle when they met for their North Lancs/Cumbria League game at Mirehouse.
The only other club through are Millom who were given a second-round bye.
The matches still to be fitted-in are: Silloth v Aspatria; Penrith v BAE Barrow; holders Wigton v Windermere; Gosforth Greengarth v Kirkby Lonsdale and Workington v Kendal.
The draw has also been made for the first round of the Shield Knockout competition and clubs have been given until April 9 to complete the matches.
Ambleside, who are not playing Cumbria League matches this season, have been included and will host Upper Eden in the first round in which Creighton have a bye.
The other games are: Windermere v Penrith; BAE Barrow v Egremont; Wigton v Millom; St.
Benedict's v Whitehaven; Workington v Aspatria and Keswick v Carlisle.
