Cumbria RUFC have been awarded this weekend's scheduled match against Berkshire, who have been disqualified from the competition after failing to fulfil their Tetley's County Cup first-round tie against Yorkshire.
Cumbria will now have a home tie at Aspatria against the losers of the Tetley's County Shield semi-final between North Midlands and Notts, Lincs and Derby, with the fixture scheduled for Saturday, May 22.
Cumbria are already struggling for next week's game as they have eight of the players who lost 61-13 to Lancashire last week unavailable for various reasons.
It is a game Cumbria need to win as it would secure their future in the Tetley's County Championship - as opposed to the Tetley's County Shield - for another season, albeit as one of the two lowest- seeded sides in the competition next year.
