KIRKBY Lonsdale Second XV continued this season's impressive home record with a 43-0 thrashing of Oldham and have conceded only three points in 10 games to remain top of the league.

Scrum-half Mackie scored a try after a minute after good work by the forwards, Barton converting.

Kirkby dominated the bigger Oldham forwards with Stevens and Tallon prominent in the front row, and sure handling from Potts and Ratcliffe put Crossley away on the wing to score in the corner, and the 45-year-old went on to complete a hat-trick.

Oldham put up a high ball to Galbraith at full back who passed to Mackie on his own 22 and he sidestepped his way in for another try, Barton again converting.

Kirkby's lineout worked well with Taylor and Turner jumping well and new hooker Yuen went over from close range after a neat pass from flanker Farley.

Excellent work in the loose by the Elliot brothers allowed Giddens to pop up at scrum-half and feed Mackie to score, Barton again converting to complete an impressive performance.
