BAE 64 - Windermere 5.
WINDERMERE'S lack of form continued against the strongest BAE side to be fielded this season in Barrow last weekend.
Windermere yet again were unable to put out their best side due to illness and injury.
James Nield, one of Windermere's senior backs, had a great game, putting in some strong tackles and making numerous strong runs during the game.
The Windermere pack pushed the home side back on several occasions and won ball against the head as Martin Bateman, Danny Harrison and Jim Fallowfield all showed pace around the park and led from the front.
But the opposition said after the game that this was the strongest side that they had fielded all season, and it showed on the park.
Windermere's sole try came when Danny Harrison took a quick tap penalty ten yards out and crashed over the line taking two BAE players with him.

SHORT-handed and still arranging who was going to play where when the whistle went to start the game, was hardly preparation conducive to a good performance from Windermere.
BAE fielded a dangerous blend of an experienced pack and a young set of backs spun the ball wide to immediately stretch their opponents.
This was the pattern for much of the first half with the visitors' fly-half dominating. BAE scored twice but Windermere replied when Jeff Jackson's quick hands allowed winger Ian Milburn to score his fourth try in six outings.
In the second half BAE looked far more dangerous with the ball in hand and added another couple of tries before Windermere scored again through flanker Mark Gibson.
Gibson has consistently been Windermere's most powerful runner this season and took his try tally to nine from a tap penalty.
