Cockermouth 34 - 0 Ambleside.
A 14-MAN Ambleside put up a plucky performance in poor conditions at Cockermouth and did their best work in the second half.
The visitors failed to get a grip and conceded four tries and a conversion to trail 22-0 in the first half after spending spent most of the time defending.
A much better second half took Ambleside close to the Cockermouth tryline several times with a combination of good driving mauls and individual breaks as Dean, Airey and Bragg all made outstanding contributions.
Credit should go, too, to Watson who made an excellent job of his first attempt in the scrum-half position.
Although Ambleside saw much more ball in the second half, Cockermouth managed two more tries, the extra man being a big help in the muddy conditions.
