AFTER the postponement of last Saturday's home fixture against Macclesfield because of a waterlogged pitch, Kendal have rearranged the match for February 21, the same day that the World Cup is in the town.
It is the first available free date and falls during the Six Nations Tournament, with Scotland playing England at Murrayfield (5.30pm kick-off).
Kendal resume their campaign tomorrow with a trip to Dudley Kingswinford in the West Midlands and name an unchanged team from that selected to play Macclesfield.
Team: S. Mullholland, P. Dodds, D. Bibby, M. Armstrong, L. Ladell, D. Stephens, M. Airey, B. Coxon, D. Green, R. Harryman, D. Preston, M. Capstick, K. Robinson, M. Bowman (capt), A. Bateson.
Replacements: D. Bowles, J. Nicholson, A. Hudson, C. Park.
The coach leaves Kendal Cricket Club, Shap Road, at 10am.
The Midlands has escaped the worst of the weather and Kendal rugby secretary Roger Wilson said: "No problems are envisaged in the fixture going ahead with two days of fair weather forecast before Saturday and plenty of time for pitches to dry."
The Second XV are at home to Harrogate in a Merit League match while the Thirds are away to Wigton in the Cumbria Shield.
