Kendal racer Bradley Perie had an amazing end to the Thundersport GB 650 Supertwin Championship.
He picked up a first place finish and came third twice in the final races of the season at Leicestershire's Mallory Park.
Bradley, 14, had to deal with tougher competition than at the previous Isle of Man TT as Irish road racing star James Cowton came to play.
In all three races Bradley was in contention for the top spot and in one race he overcame Cowton in an epic battle that saw him pinch first place on the last lap.
He finished the season in fifth place overall in the championship despite an engine malfunction at Donington and an injury at Rockingham earlier in the season.
Without those mishaps he would have been challenging for the number one spot in a season that saw him notch up five race wins and 14 podium finishes.
He has vowed to "come back stronger next year".
