KENDAL continued their unbeaten away record with a 4-2 victory over Liverpool University in North West Division Five (North).
Kendal started the game strongly with two short-corner attempts going close and soon opened the scoring with a sharp Steve Barclay strike.
Liverpool struggled to clear the ball as Kendal's superior skill gave them domination through the midfield.
A second Kendal goal came midway through the first half, as Mark Addison found himself perfectly positioned to follow up an Ewan Galloway shot.
The visitors extended their lead when Liverpool's goalkeeper failed to clear another Galloway attempt and Bloxham fired in Kendal's third goal.
In the second half, Kendal struggled to find as much passing fluidity as they had in the first and Liverpool began to play the better hockey.
Despite that, Galloway finally got on the score sheet with a reverse-stick effort to briefly make it four-nil before two defensive lapses allowed Liverpool to narrow the gap.
n WINDERMERE ach-ieved their biggest win of the season so far, 9-2 at Formby, to move five points clear at the top of North West Division Nine (North) on Saturday.
Formby were no match even for an out-of-sorts Windermere side who, on a better day, could have scored well into double figures.
Scoring nine goals has boosted Windermere's already impressive goal difference, which could prove crucial with tough away fixtures against Lytham 5ths and Didsbury 5ths still to be played.
Mid-table Wigan 4ths are the visitors to Troutbeck Bridge tomorrow (Saturday).
n WINDERMERE'S Sunday Association squad travel-led to Lancaster on Sunday still seeking a first win of the season.
But they were unable to match Lancaster's speed and skill and conceded two first-half goals in open play and two goals from penalty corners after the break.
Scott Santamera made a number of solo runs down the left wing, only to be thwarted at the final hurdle, and Richard Dawson worked tirelessly in midfield.
Mark Kendrick even tried to boost the attack with some surging second-half runs but, despite a good share of possession, Windermere fielding a very enthusiastic but youthful front line - were unable to find the net.
