NWHL Div 1
Deeside Ramblers 2s 2 - 1 Windermere
WINDERMERE tasted defeat for the fist time this season as they had victory snatched from their grasp after leading with just ten minutes to go at Tarporley.
Nat Smith had fired them ahead but Deeside levelled with a penalty flick and then capitalised on a rare Windermere mistake to seize the result in the dying minutes of the game.
Both sides had created chances in a fast-moving encounter with Joe Kay winning Windermere’s man of the match award for another outstanding display in defence.
Although level on points with Wilmslow, Windermere dropped to second place in the league on goal difference.
