NWHL Div 1
Oxton 2s 0
Windermere 3
WINDERMERE kept their 100 per cent record intact with an impressive victory on the Wirral, and set the stage for this weekend's top-of-the-table clash with Wilmslow at Troutbeck Bridge.
Free-scoring Wilmslow have netted a staggering 44 goals in six games while Mere, who themselves have scored 22, have more importantly only conceded four.
A brace of trademark drag-flick short corner strikes by Will Dolman gave Mere a two-nil half-time lead at Oxton, and Aidan McDougall, making his first team debut, added a far post tap-in after a breakthrough run by Richie Jackson in the second half.
The match starts on the Lakes School astroturf at 1pm on Saturday.
*Windermere 2s drew 0-0 with Lytham 4s in their mid-table Div 5NN match.
