CARTMEL'S Jason Walker scored a winning extra-time goal to secure a 2-1 FA Trophy victory for Barrow AFC against Stevenage Borough at Wembley.
Barrow lifted the trophy on their first visit to Wembley in 20 years, but they did it the hard way after falling behind.
Stevenage took the lead with an Andrew Drury goal, but were reduced to ten men when David Bridges was sent off for a rash challenge on Andy Bond.
Substitute Lee McEvilly got the Cumbrians level on 80 minutes to take the tie into extra-time but Robin Hulbert's late red card for an alleged elbow meant the sides would be 10 apiece for the final 30 minutes.
And it was Walker who stole the plaudits when he struck home from 20 yards two minutes into the added period to seal the win.
Barrow last won the trophy in 1990 when they defeated Leek Town 3-0.
