IF we don't play against Ashton on Saturday I am thinking of taking the lads to St Annes and have a run-out on the sand.
There's not a bit of green or astroturf going anywhere at present.
It sounds like a bit of a laugh but its all part of a serious training regime which we need to keep up.
I'm an honest manager and always believed in working hard in football and try to be as professional as I can and that the squad have always responded to that.
We know we can all have have a laugh together and we had a great Christmas ‘do’ with a few drinks around Preston.
But in a cold snap like this with games beng called off it's important that we don't lose the fitness levels that we built-up long and hard in pre-season.
We are trying to train twice a week as normal at a school in the Preston area.
On Tuesday, there was a great turnout of 20 players with a couple travelling over from Carlisle and Liverpool to make it.
Mostly it's been circuit training and the players will tell you I work them hard, but we all enjoy it which says to me that morale is high.
The snow has come and it will take some shifting, but if we don't get lucky our home match against Ashtn United this weekend, then we will hope to be in action at Burscough, with two trips there in five days next week.
After that it's back home against Boston at Parkside at the end of January and it would be great to see you there.
Our supporters have been fantastic in the way they rally round the club on and off the pitch and the support they have shown us has always been appreciated.
