We have training tonight and we have put in a couple of good training sessions over Christmas.
The groundsmen are trying their best to do a bit on the ground for Friday to try to get the game going ahead.
It is frustrating not to be playing but we have to be professional and I know the lads will give it 100 per cent when they get going again.
Whitby Town on Friday will be a tough game. They have bought some good players in and I speak to their manager regularly. They have had a good run up to Christmas and will be there or there abouts come the end of the season.
On the injury front David Newnes is fit. The games being called off have given us a chance to get him fully fit and he is now in contention for Friday’s match. We have not rushed him back and that has aided his recovery.
We have lost Kyle Jacobs though. He will be signing for FC United of Manchester soon. He is from Manchester but at the moment he has been second choice at right back to Kieran Walsmley. I will keep in touch with him though and follow his progress and my door is always open.
I do not plan any signings at the minute. I want to see how the games go now and if I feel we need to push towards the end of the season I will speak to the chairman toi ask for a little extra.
I am happy with the squad I have at the minute though.
