I AM happy with the team at present and we have now gone eight games unbeaten, so we are going into the festive period on a good run. We just need to turn the draws into wins.
We have signed Darren Green from Barrow, who has trained with us a couple of times and if we can get him fit we will be a force.
We have a massive month ahead and if we can win four or five games we will be back in the play-off places.
We just need the weather to stay mild and the players to look after themselves at Christmas an they know I shall be keeping a close eye on that.
We need to start winning and I want Parkside Road to become a fortress.
I have been a bit disappointed with our play in the last third but it is nice to see Carl Osman back on form and I am looking for our wingers to score 15 goals this season.
We had a good win in the cup on a difficult pitch last week and now we face Burscough in the fourth round.
It is a good competition and gives me the chance to give some of the fringe players a 90 minute runout.
We face Hucknall Town at home on Saturday and we lost 4-1 there earlier this season so we owe them one and want to put things right.
On the player front, Rory Winters’ loan period has finished so he has returned to Morecambe, but I want to bring him back in the New Year.
Andy Bell is staying with us, either on another loan period or hopefully something more permanent.
I think he will have a fantastic partnership with Alex Taylor and Dave Foster and in those players we have three fantastic forwards.
Ryan Salmon has left because of his work with the Army and Tony Hallam is taking some time out of football.
