Samantha Bland also ran well in the girls race, looking in control all the way to finish fifth, with young Tilly Webster oveertaking quite a few on her way in a strong finish.
U15 Mark Sullivan's 62nd place was a solid run in a field of 118.
A field of 114 boys took part in the U17s and Luke Ingham did not disappoint with his 24th place/1st Mid-Lancs in18.04, with clubmates Robbie Ingham 77th in 19-30 followed by Tom Hartley 20-18 Joanne Taylor lead the Kendal ladies back over the 8.1k in 90th in 33.10 followed by Dianne Priestley , 3rd Vet 55, 117th in 37-47.
Kath Winrow was 122th with Jacqueline Wain close behind 125th Alisdair Russell's 98th position reflected the quality of the 500-strong senior men's 9.8k race when he clocked 32-14.
