HELM Hill's Tom Addison returned to action after suffering a long-term Achilles injury to become the sixth winner of a Kendal Winter League race this season.
Addison won his first-ever senior race over the two-lap Helm Hill course pulling away from Wharfedale's Ted Mason - winner of the Barbon Fell Race - and James Bulman at the start of the second lap.
Kendal's Paul Dugdale was the first V40 in fourth place while team-mate Mike Walsh was the first V50 in 14th position just ahead of the in-form Hugh Symonds.
Milnthorpe's Wendy Dodds registered another race victory in the women's race beating Borrowdale's Nicola Davies and Wharfedale's Kate Rogan.
Rossendale's Phil Bolton held off Helm Hill's Jos Addison to win the U17 boys' race while Keswick's Rosie Stuart won the girls' race from Helm Hill's Brooke Van Hinsburg.
Helm Hill's Rory Addison lost out to Rossendale's Joe Johnstone after leading for much of the way in the boys' U14 race while Dallam's Melanie Hyder was a clear winner of the girls' U14 event.
Helm Hill's James Knox has virtually secured the U12 boys' title with his ahead of Dallam's Dale Sutton while the U12 girls' race was won by Helm Hill's Megan Stuart with team mates Lauren Munro Bennett and Lorna Nunwick following her over the line.
