TOM Young from Newbiggin held on under intense pressure to get Paralympic GB into the final of the 4x100m medley relay at the Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park, London.
Swimming the freestyle stroke on the last leg for Britain, Young was one second behind Brazil when he started superbly to give his team a three second lead going into the final 50m.
Russia saved one of their best swimmers for last but under pressure Young held on to give Britain victory by two seconds to easily qualify for tonight's final.
The final takes place at 8.45pm tonight.
