SWIMMER Thomas Young has qualified for this afternoon's final of the 400m freestyle (S8) at the IPC European Swimming Championships in berlin.
Young, 19, from Newbiggin, collected gold in the 100m breaststroke on Monday, and qualified with relative ease in his heat, coming home three seconds clear of his nearest rival.
He will be joined in the final by brothers Sam and Oliver Hynd, both also representing Great Britain and the trio are expected to battle it out for the top three positions.
