BIG wins for Branthwaite against bottom of the table Strickland (18-0) and Arnside (12-6) put them back into the Westmorland Badminton League title race.
However, they had to settle for a share of the spoils when they played Kendal in a depleted programme because of the weather.
Kendal led 6-4 going into the doubles, but Branthwaite rallied in the men’s games to level at 7-7. Two wins for Kendal’s ladies made it 9-7 and preserved their side’s unbeaten record, bu Branthwaite’s final pair fought back for a well-deserved draw.
