GYMNAST Katy Jones won a gold medal for Kendal School of Gymnastics at the Cumbria County Championships in the 12 and over section.
The club had cause for a double celebration as Kerry Garnett claimed gold and Victoria Trewenneck silver in the 11 and under age group.
In the open championship’s medals were awarded for each piece as well as well as for overall position.
In the under 13s Stevie Selby took gold on the beam and silver on the vault and bars, with an overall silver medal, while Alice Bowler took gold on vault, beam and floor in the senior contest.
Rachel Camp took silver on the floor, bronze on the bars and an overall bronze with Ruby Leather taking a silver on the beam, all in the senior category.
Stevie Selby also won the Kathleen Baddiley Memorial Trophy for the highest individual score of the day on any piece of equipment with her 11.60 on beam. There were also strong supporting performances from Rebecca Hill and Paige Murphy.
