NETHERFIELD'S Ben Barrow took four wickets in four balls to give a youthful Cumberland Development XI a dramatic three-run victory over hosts Whitehaven in a special match.
Barrow was bowling his only over of the innings for Cumberland because Kendal's Jack White had injured a leg.
Whitehaven needed 10 from the last over to overhaul Cumberland's total of 201 and a six off Barrow's first ball left four needed to win.
The next ball was sent soaring towards the boundary but dropped into Cockermouth player Chris Hodgson's safe hands.
The tailenders thew the bat but Barrow wiped them up to be all out for 198 to seal a thrilling victory.
Money raised from the fixture goes to the dependents of the West Cumbria shooting victims.
