NETHERFIELD batsman Alex Atkinson made a debut century for Cumberland in the three-day Minor Counties Championship match against Buckinghamshire at Slough.
Atkinson, just back from holiday in Majorca, shared in the run rampage as Cumberland made the Bucks bowlers toil as they amassed 410-7 (90 overs) in their first innings.
Thr Parkside Road batsman made 101 as he shared a fifth-wicket record partnership for the county of 193 with skipper Gary Pratt, whose 169 was only three runs short of the highest individual Cumberland score.
Bucks were 37-2 (17 overs) at the close of play on the first day.
