Milnthorpe Corinthians showed none of the encouraging signs in recent performances as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat by Crooklands Casuals.
As a result Cors are being left adrift at the foot of the Aegon West Lancashire First Division as other strugglers pick up points.
Dalton-in-Furness-based Crooklands started quickly and repeatedly broke behind the Cors defence, but struggled to convert their dominance into clear-cut chances Early in the second half, Casuals broke down the left and a cross found unmarked Adam Singleton, who rifled the ball home.
Cors almost equalised when substitute Paul Brookes had a free header from a right wing corner, but directed it straight at the keeper.
Casuals extended their lead when Michael Park outpaced the Cors cover to fire home from just inside the box.
In the same division Millom entertained Gars-tang and won 5-1 with Danny Pattinson (2), Carl Waters (2) and Steven Grieve doing the business.
Furness Rovers lost 4-2 to Tempest United.
Meanwhile, first division BAE Barrow Sports Club won through to the semi-finals of the Lancashire FA Interserve Shield.
On the excellent Wigan Robins Park pitch next to the JJB Stadium, Barrow went 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes of extra time through Kevin Murphy and Lee O'Keefe.
Wigan pulled it back to 2-2 three minutes into injury time, but BAE held their nerve to win the penalty shoot-out 9-8.
In the Premier Division, Dalton United were at home to Freckleton and a single Gary Prosser strike gained them the points.
GSK Ulverston Rangers lost 3-1 at home to Trimpell in Division Two.
BAE Barrow SC Reserves moved into the semi-finals of the Travis Perkins Furness Senior Cup by beating Vickerstown 1-0, through Carl McKay.
Dalton United Reserves booked their place with a 4-2 victory over Furness Cavaliers. Neil Park, Danny Leech, Tony Griffiths and Greg Metcalfe scored for Dalton with Peter and Pat Thornton netting for Cavaliers.
North Lancashire League sides Cartmel and Swarth-moor SC are the other semi-finalists.
