Kendal Town 3, Radcliffe Borough 2.
Midfielder Russell McKenna hammered the ball home from a last minute goalmouth scramble to book Kendal Town's place in the next round of the Lancashire Cup.
UniBond First Division side Town looked dead and buried as Premier Division Radcliffe Borough cut them apart in the first half and took a 2-0 lead after 15 minutes through Rod Thornley and Steve Foster.
It was only in the second half that the home side began to make an impression and in the 55th minute David Foster rammed home his first real chance of the evening.
Manager Tony Hesketh made a dream substitution with Chris Ward heading the equaliser within two minutes of his introduction.
Town bossed the rest of the match against shell-shocked Radcliffe and reaped the reward of their efforts as Russell McKenna forced the ball in from a scramble in the six yard box.
