Open Adventure racing comes to the Central Lakes on Sunday with the final Open 5 event of 2005.
The Open 5 series comprises five hours of mountain biking, running and navigation for those aged 18 upwards in a Lake District setting and this event takes place from Rydal Hall, near Ambleside on Sunday (9am-10.30am start).
"Open Adventure" was set up by James Thurlow of Backbarrow, near Ulverston, last year, with a series of events across the north, and also included an Open 24 event of 24 hours, with other disciplines such as trekking and kayaking also included.
Next year's Open 5 series is already planned with events in the Pennines, the Lakes and the Dales. For further information go to website: www.openadventure.com.
