ONLY one Premier Division match was played as weather decimated the North Lancashire League programme, with Ingleton taking full advantage to record their first win of the season.
They came from a goal behind to deservedly beat Cartmel 3-1.
After just 44 seconds Phil Gillette opened the scoring for Cartmel, but Ingleton soon regained their composure, fought back and equalised before half-time though Chris Bibby.
In the second half Ingleton were much the better side and goals by Duncan Sullivan and Jonathon Boadle lifted them off the bottom of the table for the first time this season, while Cartmel, for so many years one of the strongest sides in the league, are sinking rapidly towards the relegation zone.
Grange carried last week's excellent from forward to the first round of the Holdens/Gibson First Division Cup where they beat Ingleton Reserves 5-1 in the first round.
The home side had the game won by half-time when they led 3-0, despite missing some sitters.
Their goalscorers were Peter Gadsden (2) and Neil Turner.
Grange continued to dominate in the second half, scoring twice more through Craig Turner and Steve Porter before Jonathon Lister hit Ingleton's solitary reply.
In the league, the shock of the day was the 4-0 defeat of second-placed Cartmel Res-erves by Burton Thistle.
It was sweet revenge for Thistle who were walloped 6-0 by Cartmel earlier in the season.
Two Thistle goals in each half ensured there was no repeat, Mark Smith and Scott Shields netting before the break and Rueben Gray on target twice after the interval.
Galgate moved up to third place in the division with an easy 4-1 win over bottom team Arnside.
Jason Stubbs (2), hard-working Tony Knowles and a 30-yard unstoppable rocket from Tom Gammon did the damage, while midfielder Steve Pearson scored for Arnside.
Swarthmoor Social Club stay firmly in control at the top of the division despite being held to a 3-3 draw by Storeys Reserves.
Graham Wilcock (2) and Gary Fawcett netted for Swarthmoor with Stuart Morgan (2) and Paul Frazer on target for Storeys Vine completed the double over Millhead, but had to work hard in the second half. The home side took a 3-0 half-time lead with goals by Nick Ebbitt, Simon Ball and Andy Crake.
Millhead then controlled the second period, but could not break down the Vine defence, until an own goal made the final score 3-1.
Arnside Reserves crashed out of the first round of the Scotts Sports/Whiteside Second Division Cup, losing 3-1 to Bolton-le-Sands.
Mark Smith netted twice, once from a penalty and Michael Presswood added the third for Sands, while Richard Kirkham scored the Arnside consolation.
Kirkby Lonsdale Rangers progressed to the second round with a comfortable 4-0 win over Allithwaite Rangers thanks to Alan Downey, Chris Vincent, Rob Downey and Danny Walker.
In the league, unbeaten leaders Carnforth Rangers notched up their 10th win with a 5-3 victory over Swarthmoor Reserves.
Gavin Darby (2), Ben Shields, Alec Gorton and Tony Holmes were on target for Carnforth with Jamie Donald (2) and John Bell replying for Swarthmoor.
Lee Waddington scored twice, once from a penalty, for Holme Athletic, but it was not enough as they lost 3-2 to Morecambe Hoops, who had Alan Fisher, Paul Oldfield and Kris Menamin on target.
Robert Wood hit five for Division Three leaders Millhead Reserves with James Thornton and John Holmes also on target as they beat struggling Allithwaite Reserves 7-3. Martin Law and Scott Duncanson (2) replied for Allithwaite.
Goals by Mark Jones (2) and Dave Chippendale saw Carnforth Rangers Reserves through to a 3-1 win over Poulton United Reserves in group one of the Kelly/Flynn/Cunningham Fourth Division Cup.
