CARLISLE Racecourse's jumps meeting, scheduled for Monday, has been abandoned because of waterlogging.
Racng went ahead on almost bottomless ground eight days ago, but the track has received almost ten inches more rain since mid-October.
Carlisle's clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell was reported as saying in the Racing Post: "If we'd all brought our goggles, flippers and wetsuits then we could have been racing."
