IMPRESSED by watching the youth team in action this week, Tony Hesketh says it may be time to give youngsters a chance in the senior side.
"I am getting to the stage where I feel we have one or two players under-achieving and it could well be time to move two or three out and bring others in," said Hesketh.
"I watched the youth team play on Wednesday night and a couple of their players caught the eye, in particular Adrian Caswell and I would expect him to make a first team appearance in the next few weeks and do a good job for us.
"He is a Kendal boy and has had some glowing reports from the youth team manager. I believe he is someone who could well force his way into the side in the near future.
"He is a tricky left winger and was with Blackburn Rovers as a young boy. He had a knee problem, which delayed his progress, but he is a very talented young player.
"John Bentley and centre-forward Sean Pooley also did well against the strong Burscough side.
"We still want to do well in the league this year and still have aspirations and if not to win it we must get in the play-off places, but I just sense it might be time to move on one or two players.
"In the first half at Ossett we totally dominated proceedings and were well worth the four-goal advantage. In the second half the game petered out, but it was pleasing to get through the cup tie because it generates some cash for us and gives us a chance to win more at Guiseley in mid-November.
"Ged Smith, Ricky Mercer and Nigel Taylor did particularly well for us and in the first half Lee Ashcroft and Chris Ward worked extremely hard and were too good for Ossett's back four.
"On Tuesday we had total domination for 20 minutes, but we needed to be two goals in front.
"Instead they scored a wonder goal which lifted their spirits just when they were looking at a 5-0 hammering.
"Kenny Mayers and James Salisbury then got in a tangle when Kenny's poor choice of a back pass sold his keeper short.
"It began to look as if we had got past the chance of getting a point in the second half and were in for a 3-2 defeat. I thought the crowd was magnicicent in the vocal support they gave until we got the equaliser and were pushing for a winner."
"It keeps us in the top half of the table and all is not lost, but we need to win at home to Colwyn Bay this weekend."
