Willenhall Town 3, Kendal Town 1.
Nearly all the action came in the second half as Kendal crashed 3-1 to second-placed Willenhall Town, an exact reversal of the scores when the two sides met at Parkside earlier in the season. scoring on 40 minutes when Gary Hay brought a fine save from Mark Thornley.
Straight after the break David Foster was denied after good work from Peter Smith on the right wing and it was the home side who opened the scoring on 59 minutes, Gary Hay pouncing as Kendal failed to clear.
Three minutes later Phil Rowe made it 2-0 with a shot from the edge of the area.
Lee Ashcroft and Russell McKenna had chances for Kendal, but the game was put beyond the visitors on 89 minutes when substitute Dean Perrow made it 3-0.
Peter Smith scored an injury time consolation.
Defeat saw Town slip to ninth place in the UniBond League First Division, but they have a chance to recoup lost ground tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they entertain 10th-placed Kidsgrove Athletic at Parkside. Kick-off 7.45pm
