KENDAL Town failed to sparkle up front as relegation-threatened Belper netted a goal in each half to take three points away from the Parksiders.
New signing Ian Kilford - on loan from Barrow - made his bow in a Town side which could not converted its chances in a scrapoy match.
Instead Belper led through a Jason Maxwell strike after keeper Mark Thornley had stopped but failed to hold Ben Walker's 20-yard shot.
After misses by Lee Ashcroft and Kenny Mayers, Town struggled to get on terms in the second half and Walker netted a second for the visitors with a low cross-shot.
