AFTER Saturday's cancellation of Kendal Town's UniBond League First Division match because gales made it unsafe for Derbyshire side Ilkeston Town to travel up the M6, Town return to cup action tonight with the visit of Bishop Auckland to Parkside.
This President's Cup first round match has twice been postponed because Kendal's pitch was either waterlogged or frozen and tonight's tie will be played to a conclusion with extra time and penalties if necessary. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
If Town can dispose of the UniBond Premier Division strugglers they will meet more Premier opponents with a second round away tie to Leek Town on December 22.
If Town go out they will travel to Chorley on that date for a re-arranged First Division match.
