SPORTS fans in Ingleton will be able to play well into the night thanks to a new set of floodlights that will illuminate the village's all-weather pitch.
The Ingleton Rural Community Association (IRCA), which looks after the running of the pitch, received a £10,000 grant from the Football Association to pay for the floodlights at the all-purpose facility, where villagers can play a variety of sports, including tennis and five-a-side football.
IRCA secretary, Thelma Yates, said that the floodlights would be a "fantastic" addition to the village and would enhance the facilities at the sports ground.
