Stockbridge Park Steels 1, Kendal Town 2.
Kendal Town notched up their first UniBond League First Division away win as they completed the double over Sheffield-based Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Steels opened the scoring on fife minutes through a Duncan Bray shot and went on to control the first half with several close efforts, one being cleared off the line by Town right-winger Peter Smith.
The on 40 minutes Town captain Kenny Mayers scrambled in an equaliser after good work by David Foster.
Manager Tony Hesketh's half-time talk produced a vastly improved second half performance and the Town's increased possession resulted in Mayers heading home the winner on 71 minutes.
Town have no mid-week match this week and on Saturday travel to Colwyn Bay in the second round of the FA Trophy.
