Saturday sees the visit of AFC Telford United, a club born out of the financial collapse of the former Conference League side Telford United.

Arguments have raged over whether the new Telford side had been correctly placed in the FA's football pyramid structure.

Aggrieved UniBond League sides have said Telford should have been forced to start one step further down in the North West Counties Feeder League, but Telford say their strong fan base, around 1,000 spectators a home match, and Conference standard ground should have put them in at a higher level that the UniBond League First Division.

Tomorrow the argu-ment will be played out on the pitch at Parkside (kick-off 3pm) and Town secretary Craig Campbell said the visitors are expecting to bring over 200 travelling fans.

The Midlands-based side are currently fifth in the table and six points above Kendal, but they have played two games more and there is little to choose between the statistics of the two sides.

On Tuesday Town are at home again for a UniBond League Cup tie with Rossendale United (kick-off 7.45pm).

On the face of it free-scoring Town should have little trouble with Rossendale who are languishing second from bottom in the UniBond League First Division.
