ERRORS and missed tackles played a big part in Kendal's 45-27 defeat at Tynedale - although by scoring four tries they picked up a bonus point.
Tynedale imposed themselves to carve-up a 24-3 half-time advantage.While Tynedale notched up three tries - a penalty try and run-ins by stand-ff Gavin Beasley and right wing Ben Duncan, Kendal had only a Dan Stephens penalty to their credit before the break.
Kendal rallied to score the first try after the break through Jon Ladell but Tynedale came back with two more scores through No. 8 Andrew Murray and centre Phil Belgian. Armstrong and Ladell got over the tryline for Kendal but Tyndale replied with their sixth try before replacement Chris Park earned the bonus with a fourth for Kendal.
Kendal are off to London to play Richmond in the third round of the Powergen Cup on Saturday.
