NW FLOODLIT LEAGUE: Kendal Town set off the better of the sides and never let Accrington settle with a first goal coming when Adam Pashley harassed the visitors into a mistake and crossed for Tom Clark to knock in the ball after 14 minutes.

Kendal worked hard but in the 40th minute Accrington pushed forward and levelled the scores.

Both teams had good chances to take the lead afterwards but Kendal went 2-1 up after 63 minutes when a partially cleared corner fell to Luke Packham, who hit a superb 20-yard volley straight into the net.

Accrington came back and hit the post and Kendal keeper Martin Armstrong made the save of the night to preserve his side's lead.

Kendal broke down the Accrington defence again in the 72nd minute, Sean Pooley chipping the ball over the keeper to round off a well-earned victory.
