CENTRE Martin Armstrong is one of several doubts in Kendal's starting line-up for tomorrow's National League 3 North match away at Macclesfield.
Armstrong is struggling to overcome a dead-leg - a problem which sidelined him for five weeks last season - and right winger Jon Ladell has a calf-muscle strain.
No. 8 Adrian Bateson who came off against Halifax is ruled out with knee-ligament trouble.
Meanwhile, lock-forward Andrew Hudson is suffering a virus, but is named on the bench, and the squad could travel without flanker Mark Bowman, whose wife is reaching full term in her pregnancy.
Kendal coach Neil Rollings said: "You expect to be piecing things together with balsa wood and string at some stage of the season, but not the second game into the season."
The Kendal team coach leaves Kendal CC at 11.45am.
