IF YOUNGSTERS want to learn about fly-fishing during the school holidays, Appleby Angling Association is running free instruction sessions, sponsored by the Environment Agency.
As well as learning about fishing safety, the fresh water environment and fish biology with a coach, Chris Bowman, participants also learn how to roll and overhead cast with instructors Glyn Freeman and Clive Mitchelhill.
They learn how to tackle up, tie knots and fish for themselves, as well as about fishing-related issues such as the country code and how anglers affect the environment.
For more information, call Chris Bowman on 01228-674519.
