MOTORCYCLE scramblers will be heading for Holme farm, Middleton, near Sedbergh on Saturday and Sunday August 21/22 for the return of Kendal Classic Motorcycle Club's Nostalgia Trial and Scramble.
On Saturday trials riders will tackle a multi-sectioned course three times, starting at 11am, mainly on old British bikes, with the aim of remaining feet up' throughout the day.
Anyone interested in observing' on the day will be made most welcome.
Presentation of awards should take place at around 4pm, after which riders will have the opportunity to visit the marquee of memorabilia and photographs from yesteryear.
There will be a Concourse Exhibition of Classic Trials and Motocross motorcycles at 7pm, followed by an evening buffet and forum with a top local rider from the 70's and 80's.
Sunday's Nostalgia Scram-ble begins at 12.30, on the natural grassland circuit. There will be the usual classes, from pre-1960 through to pre-1984 machines.
This year's event incorporates a CCM motor-cycle reunion, with Alan Clews, the man behind the marque, guest of honour. Several of CCM's original works riders will be turning out, either during the interval cavalcade or like Mike Barnes, during the racing. Norman Barrow, Don Brockbank, Bob Wright, Andy Ainsworth and Geoff Stokes are all expecting to be present.
