THE TOP two met in the Northern Premier League on Saturday and leaders Netherfield finished well beaten, losing by 10 wickets to second-placed Fleetwood.
The Netherfield batsmen never got to grips with the task after the decision to bat at Broadwater and were ousted for 126, only Grahame Clarke escaping the carnage with a top-scoring 55.
Bowlers Steve Hill (3-18), Tom Blundell (2-15) and David Fish (2-36) carved up the honours.
Fleetwood thne were untroubled in knocking off the runs in 21.4 overs with John Whalley hitting 76 and John Wright 54.
Kendal were without a league match.
