KIRKBY Stephen Primary School pupils enjoyed a day of sports with their Mini Olympics and charity fun run.
All the children at the school took part in the Multi-Sport Events in which four groups took part in 12 different activities in the morning, with awards being made for the team with most points, most enthusiastic team and most sportsmanlike team.
The multi sport events were organised by teacher Bianca Carlisle who explained: "The children were working in mixed age groups and the events help to develop team-building and skills as well as an interest in sport.
"More than 200 children took part, split into Red, Yellow, Blue and Green groups. There was one adult leader to each seven children and we were very grateful to the parents who came in to help. We needed 28 adults to join in and without the great support of parents we would not have been able to run the events."
Head Teacher, Mike Butler added: "We held a traditional Sports Day in the afternoon and rounded off with a fun run around the sports field, where children could give 50p to Sport Relief."
