OPENER Craig Walmsley set about the Leyland Motors bowling in earnest when he hit a magnificent 123 to set Netherfield on the way to an easy 148-run victory.
With South African Dale Benkenstein also making 88 and Chris Parry 31, Netherfield were able to declare at 264-5 after 50 overs.
Netherfield's bowlers then kept the side in top gear as they dismissed Motors for 116.
Phil Hartley ran through the tailenders to steal the thunder with his 4-6 return with leg-spinner Marc Hadwin taking 3-32 and Benkenstein again in the wickets with 2-49.
Pakistan pro Atif Ashraf top-scored for Motors with 53.
Kendal recorded an impressive victory over reigning champions Darwen at Brich Hall with a 35-run win.
Pakistani professional Kabir Khan graced their innings with a century, hitting 104 out of a total of 228-7 with other runs from Gareth Ashburner 44 and Kevin Howarth 30 after they got the side off to a good start.
Darwen were dmissed for 193 in 51 overs with young pace bowler James Rafferty, who moved from Westmorland League side Warton, hitting a great wicket-taking streak with 4-37 while Khan added 3-64 to his bowling exploits and Kevin Howarth took 2-66.
