KENDAL Seconds mounted a bold run chase at Blackpool Seconds before falling 21 runs short of victory with two wickets standing.
Backpool elected to bat on winning the toss and declared on 228-4 off 44 overs with Adrian Potts taking 2-5 off six overs.
Kendal openers Craig Caswell (38) and Dan George (17) put on 44 for the first wicket and stands of 56 and 42 kept Kendal in the hunt. The turning-point was the dismissal of Paul Dowker, who was fifth wicket to fall for a fine 56.
Four wickets fell for 13 runs to put Blackpool back on top before Potts was joined by Cumbria ladies player Jenna Wood and they batted out the last eight overs for the draw at 208-8.
