KENDAL Town FC have captured prolific striker Andy Bell from Fleetwood Town FC.
Bell, who joined Fleetwood from Hednesford Town during the 2005/06 season, played in key role in helping the club to successful promotion charges.
He has arrived at Parkside Road ahead of a double-header in the Unibond Premier Division this week as manager Lee Ashcroft prepares for two home fixtures this week against Guiseley on Saturday and Nantwich on Tuesday.
The loan signing will remain with Town until December 5.
Kendal remain in touch with the league leaders of the UniBond Premier Division despite no game at the weekend.
The club took advantage of the break to get in some extra training as league leaders Ashton United slipped to defeat against a strong Stocksbridge Park Steels side.
Town now sit eighth in a tight league and are just eight points behind the leaders with five games in hand.
The fixtures are starting to pile up and the next two weeks could be pivotal to Kendal’s season with five games in 14 days - starting at home against sixth-placed Guiseley on Saturday.
Anthony Robinson of Kings Lynn remains the league’s top scorer on 13 foals after bagging a hat-trick at home to Durham City.
Former Manchester City player Steve Daley joined Kendal Town for a sportsman’s dinner on Friday.
Lee Ashcroft said the fund-raising dinner was a huge success at the Preston Grasshoppers Ballroom.
He added: “It was really good and we had a sell-out for it. I am sure we will be trying to get another one running.
