DEFEAT sent the Milnthorpe side to the bottom of the West Lancashire League Premier Division and they now find themselves four points from safety with eight games left to play.
The first half was a scrappy affair with Corinthians struggling against the wind.
Turton had the better of the chances and went into half time 1-0 up.
Corinthians started better in the second half and had most of the possession without really testing the home keeper.
The turning point of the game came when Kevin Pickering was held back in the penalty area but the referee did not award what seemed to be a certain penalty.
Turton promptly went up the other end and scored.
The setback broke Corinthians' spirit and they conceded a further three goals.
Corinthians Reserves lost 4-1 to Coppull Res, in the Reserve Division One, Oliver Parry scoring the goal.
