THREE goals by Chris Barnes, two from Jack Walker and one from Liam Fox took Heathwaite Under-14s through to the second round of the Austin Wren Trophy with a 6-1 victory over Kendal United Colts.
Ryan Sewell hit a six timer over two matches in the U10s as Ambleside notched up a brace of wins. Not to be out done Ryan's older brother Stephen scored all six in the U14s 6-1 win over Endmoor.
Heathwaite U12's entertained Burneside Utd in the third round of The SM Jones trophy. Burneside, last year cup holders, went ahead early in the first half with the help of an own goal. Heathwaite kept up the pressure to level the scores at half-time through a goal from Andy Spedding.
Burneside missed a few chances to go ahead in the second half and extra time brought no goals. A tense penalty shoot-out was won 5-4 by Heathwaite on their last shot.
