Rugby - League leaders run riot Kendal 3, Waterloo 45.
Free scoring Waterloo showed why they are most people's favourites to win the League.
Kendal took an early lead with a Dan Stephens penalty, but with their first real foray produced an opening try in the 14th minute. Fullback Rob Hitchmough kicked the ball over the tryline and won the race to touch it down.
Anthony Handley kicked a penalty four minutes later before scoring a try himself.
He failed to convert his own score, but added a second penalty to the score line just before half-time.
A third penalty attempt rebounded from an upright early in the second half and was caught by centre Gareth Davies following up and moments later Hitchmough crossed for the score, converted by Handley.
Scrum-half Craig Aikman scored Waterloo's fourth try in the forty-ninth minute which was again converted by Handley.
Individual skill by Kendal's Dan Stephens deserved a try moments later he saw a gap and darted through it before chipping over a defender only to be denied by a matter of inches of collecting his own kick.
In the seventy-third minute, Hitchmough turned the ball over in his own 22 before winger Neil Kerfoot raced the length of the field to score, John Broxson converted.
Five minutes later a powerful drive from the Waterloo forwards brought a try for replacement hooker Chris Tyms.
An interception by Waterloo with Kendal in sight of the tryline gave Kerfoot a second breakaway try and the final score of the game.
