CUMBERLAND’S minor Counties Cricket Championship match against Lincolnshire ended in a draw after falling victim to the weather.
Heavy rain at Carlisle saw play abandoned and the honours split with both teams taking eight points on day three of play.
Lincolnshire had set Cumberland a target of 223 runs for victory. Cumberland Chairman, Steven Sharp said:
“ The rain spoilt the possibility of a interesting run chase and a possible first Championship victory of the season.“
Cumberland’s next game is away against Bedfordshire between August 23rd and 25th.
