SATURDAY sees the hugely anticipated visit of FC United to Kendal Town’s Parkside Road ground. The Bury based outfit was formed by disgruntled Manchester United fans in the wake of Malcolm Glazer’s takeover of the club, and is famed for its strong support and passionate fans.
Kendal will be expecting a record gate for Saturday's Unibond League fixture. Town will be hopeful that they can emulate the form they showed back in October when they ran out 3-1 winners against Karl Marginson’s men at Gigg Lane. Kick-off is at 3pm.
Across town, Kendal Rugby Club face another difficult test tomorrow as they welcome third in the table Fylde to the Mint Bridge.
Kendal put in a gutsy performance against second in the National League ThreeNorth Nuneation last Saturday, going down 21-13 in Warwickshire. Despite the seven places between the sides, against Fylde, Kendal will be looking to their impressive home form as they attempt to take down high-flying opposition. Kick-off is at 2pm.
