HUNDREDS of nominations have been gathered for the Cumbria Sports Awards- and it's now time to reveal the panel who will decide on worthy winners and finalist.
Sponsored by Fibrus, a full fibre broadband company committed to supporting Cumbrian grassroots sports, the Cumbria Sports Awards 2025 will be brought back to the county in a 'live' format for the first time in a number of years, thanks to a partnership between Newsquest Cumbria and Active Cumbria.
Finalists will be invited to an awards event at Energus, Workington on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Judging will take place for the awards next month - so we though now would be a good time reveal our fantastic panel, they are:

There are a whole host of categories to celebrate your favourite sports person, team and player, as well as the unsung heroes' of sport such as volunteers and school teachers.
Newsquest Cumbria Sales Director, Emily Wood said: "We are delighted to see so many fantastic nominations come in for these wonderful awards celebrating all the best of sport across our county.
"The judges will have no easy task picking finalists, but I am confident with the calibre of the panel we will have a great event full of worthy finalists and winners ."
